Improv for Anxiety

In this 5-week class, you'll learn new creative strategies and skills, all while playing, laughing, and sharing experiences with others who deal with anxiety in their lives. Improv is an artform that embraces mistakes! You'll play games and exercises that de-emphasize and lessen fears of rejection or imperfection, and emphasize joy. The class is designed to help with:

  • Getting comfortable being in the moment
  • Public speaking anxiety
  • Improving social functioning
  • Getting over panic attacks
  • Working with mistakes in a creative way
  • Overcoming fear of being in public
  • Overcoming anxiety about change
  • Speaking in job performance interviews
Important note: The curriculum for this course was designed with the input of Dr. Shereen Morse, a licensed psychiatrist specializing in working with people with OCD and anxiety. However, this class is not an appropriate substitute for therapy and is not taught by a licensed therapist. It is not intended to treat or diagnose.
